Important Common Sense⌄
- Mythic raiding is hard and we need to make decisions for the guild's progression.
- Real life events happen for us all of course, but we expect raiders to be able to attend most if not all raids.
- Sign up to the raids in discord.
- Match your discord name with in-game name.
- During progression boss fights and pre-pull discussions, please leave unrelated chit-chat to a minimum.
- We welcome any suggestions or discussions on tactics and improvements when they are backed up by theory.
- Stick to your class.
- If you signed up but are unable to attend for any reason, write so in discord raid chat. We need to be able to arrange a replacement(s). This also includes being late ofc.
- All BOE goes to guild to buy pots and food
Rotation and roster⌄
TLDR – everyone will get to raid but we cannot guarantee exactly when.
In a Mythic raiding team you want to be 25+ persons. We are all grown ups with jobs and commitments which means that there will always be rotations in raid rosters every raid due to family, job or other life emergencies etc. In general we have a healthy rotation in the roster that still helps us progress the raid but this is of course dependent on many factors.
- Raid rosters are communicated the day before Or the day of raid.
- All mythic raiders are expected to be online and available to jump in/help the raid even if you are not in the communicated lineup that day.
- We plan according to the most effective raidcomp. Especially on progress.
- We prioritize players based on many factors but damage output, utilization and raid preparation are key.
- All raiders understand that due to underperforming, you may be asked to temporarily step down from the raid. We need to respect everyone's time and commitment. This is not in any way personal and everyone can have a bad day.
- Our intention is to have a rotation which means all mythic raiders get to raid. This will play out differently depending on when we are on progression etc.
Raid preparation⌄
We raid 6 hours per week. Those hours are many people prime of the week. Let’s use those hours as best we can and let’s prepare as good we can beforehand.
- Watch multiple videos of the encounter.
- Look into www.mythictrap.com of the fights.
- Have a look at warcraftlogs.com and see how the best players spec for the fight.
- Make sure you're fully stocked on vials, flasks, food, runes and what not that the guild is not offering.
- Be fully enchanted goes without saying.
Addons⌄
We will use a variety of addons. Make sure to keep up to date with the ones were using. If your unsure just ask. Apart from specific:
- Bigwigs or DBM
- Weakauras
- RC Loot council
- Others will be communicated
Pugging⌄
Pugging is not allowed for Raiders or Trial Raiders on your mains. There are several reasons for it and we will be happy to explain why if needed. If you can not attend the guild raid in a given week, talk to officers to potentially pug. If you're not in the roster, talk to an officer. Pugging LFR is always ok, but pugging Normal, Heroic or Mythic should only be done if specifically allowed by officers.
Personal preparations⌄
We expect the following from everyone that intends to raid mythic with us.
- Follow the ilvl upgrade trajectory.
- To get gear and upgrades you do m+. You are expected to do mythic dungeons to farm crests & gear. “Raid logging” does not work if you want to do mythic raiding with Enhanced
- Have all your gear fully upgraded.
- Find the flaws in your game and improve using warcraftlogs, discord guides, lorrgs.com etc
- Don’t be afraid of asking for feedback. We want all of us to succeed. No one is expected to know everything.
Trial raiders⌄
The following applies for trial raiders.
- Trial raiders are primarily trialed in heroic settings.
- Trials last up to two weeks.
- Trial raiders are secondly trialed on reclears on mythic.
- Trials on progression bosses we generally want to avoid because it’s usually not fair to the trial.
- The point with our trials is to see survivability, mechanics and roles fulfilled. For example, do you use gate, BOP and so on.
- While damage and healing parses are important, when we look at logs we look at damage taken, damage taken by ability, healthstones, pots, talents chosen.
- Depending on the season we might be more or less reluctant.
Loot⌄
We want to distribute loot for the progression of the guild's mythic raiding. This means that we will give the loot where it will make most or one of the most differences for the guilds progression. To achieve this we use RC Loot council which is mandatory for all. If you are a trial you pass on all loot.
- RC loot council generic intro, watch a youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tDTZIS1JfWM
- Always write your note when you press button as details as possible like +ilvl number, stats number increase to help.
- Sim if possible, makes the most.
- BIS - Means Best in slot. For example Best in slot this tier. In raids this is only viable when we are mythic. So if we are on heroic and it is the best heroic trinket that is not your bis.
- Big upgrade. for example +10 ilvl or +3% damage
- Tier piece. Write in note the number of tier piece this means for you, for example will you have 4 set with this. This also applies if you will catalyze an armor piece into tier piece.
- Medium upgrade. For example +5 ilvl or +1% damage
- Small upgrade. For example +2 ilvl or +0.1% damage
- Pass. Used by trials and and if you don’t need.
- We generally prioritize dps prior to healers and lastly tanks.
- Someone that is raid logging will not be given loot
- Don't trade loot. If you don't need it give it back to officer
